Vleuten is situated in the center of Holland. The train will take you to the center of Utrecht in 7 minutes. Coming from the A 2 and A 12 motorways, you will reach your B&B address in 10 minutes. The surrounding villages are easy to reach by bus.
Vleuten and the surrounding district are ideal for walks and cycling trips.

  


    From Vleuten a cycling trip along the river Vecht is a unique event. A boat trip on the Vecht and the Loosdrechtse Plassen is also possible. Do you like more sailing? Well, look on:

    From your B&B address it's a thirty-minute walk to the nineteenth-century castle De Haar. A visit to this castle, which was designed by the architect P.J.H. Cuypers is well worth the trouble. You can take the guided tour, which lasts about 50 minutes.
    Every weekend that the castle is open to the public, there are at 11.30 a.m. special guided tours for children under five. Children over five are also welcome.

    From Vleuten a cycling trip along the river Vecht is an unique event. Many rich merchants from Amsterdam were in the 17e en 18e century the owner of a beautiful house on the riverside. Sometimes even complete with dome and landscape garden.

    Do you feel like shopping or are you interested in Museums? The train will take you to the center of Utrecht in 7 minutes.
    The Utrecht Museumkwartier (Museum quarter) is the most beautiful  part of the city. There are small courtyards, medieval churches, monumental buildings and many museums, canals and wharves. Did you know that the Dom tower is the highest church tower in Holland? ( 112 Metres) There are special walks along the canals, wharves, courtyards and buildings.
    For children there is the National Museum van Speelklok tot Pierement (from Musical Clock to Street Organ) as well as the National Railway Museum. The Tourist Information and your hostess have all the necessary information available.

    The B&B can also be used as a base for part-time students at the Nijenrode University in Breukelen.
    A beautiful twenty-minute drive along the river Vecht will take you to Nijenrode.
